Writings For Christ

Title: September 11, 2001 - a letter to the President
Dated: September 2001

I feel compelled to write to you today in the hope it would be a form of encouragement following the tragic and cowardly attack on your country, America, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.

As a Christian Australian I wish to offer you, on behalf of my wife and sons, our very best wishes and to let you know that we are holding the citizens of the USA in our prayers. We especially remember those families who lost their loved ones, the workers who give of themselves to repair the wounds, and those now faced with rebuilding the lives of the people. I pray that the God of all comfort be in your midst.

I am priviledged to know so many people in the US as both my dear friends and in some cases family. I am proud to stand in support of America as your deeds prove your true nature. I cast my mind to those throughout history, the sons and daughters of America who shed their blood on foriegn soils to keep the world free of tyranny. The USA still stands as the international symbol of the freedom so many strive for.

I pray that justice is served and that there is an end to such acts where so many innocent die out of mans greed and lust for power - regardless of what 'name' they hide behind to do it.

Please know that so many Australians , all those I have spoken with in my daily life, are thinking of you all at this time and be encouraged that we feel your loses as our own.

God Bless America.

Your Friend,

David.M.Clark
